A method of preparing a compound of formula (III): wherein x is from 1 to 6, y is from 1 to 12, z is from 0 to 10, each M and each M' is independently a mycolic acid residue including a .beta.- hydroxy acid moiety and each S is a monosaccharide unit; the method comprising reacting one or more mycolic acids with one or more saccharide units wherein the hydroxyl group of each .beta.-hydroxy acid moiety is protected prior to reaction with the one or more saccharide units.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un composé de formule (III), dans laquelle x varie de 1 à 6, y de 1 à 12 et z de 0 à 10, chaque M et chaque M' représentant, indépendamment des autres, un résidu d'acide mycolique comprenant un groupe fonctionnel de type acide ß-hydroxy et chaque S une unité monosaccharidique. Ce procédé comprend une étape consistant à faire réagir un ou plusieurs acides mycoliques avec une ou plusieurs unités saccharidiques, le groupe hydroxyle de chaque groupe fonctionnel de type acide ß-hydroxy étant protégé préalablement à la réaction avec ladite ou lesdites unités saccharidiques.
