A method for the prevention and/or treatment of skin or hair damage, particularly inflammation and aging of skin and hair damage from sunlight and chemicals, in which a tocotrienol, a derivative thereof or a vitamin E preparation enriched with tocotrienol or a tocotrienol derivative, is topically applied to the exposed or affected skin or hair areas. A fat-soluble fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid such as palmityl ascorbate is preferably applied with the tocotrienol in association with a dermatologically acceptable carrier.
Procédé de prévention et/ou de traitement de dégradations de la peau et des cheveux et en particulier des inflammations et du vieillissement de la peau et des cheveux dus au soleil et aux produits chimiques, consistant à appliquer localement, sur les parties de la peau ou des cheveux qui sont exposées ou affectées, une préparation à base de tocotriénol, d'un de ses dérivés ou de vitamine E enrichie de tocotriénol ou d'un de ses dérivés. On applique de préférence avec le tocotriénol un ester d'acide gras de l'acide ascorbique liposoluble tel que l'ascorbate de palmityle en association avec un véhicule acceptable sur le plan dermatologique.
