The invention relates to a method and a control system for positioning a mine vehicle (1). Measurement of a distance travelled by the mine vehicle (1) is based on monitoring rotation of a wheel (3). In the invention, an error caused in the distance measurement by wear of the wheel (3) is compensated for automatically when the distance value obtained from monitoring is corrected by a correction factor. The value of the correction factor is updated at predetermined intervals during use.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de commande pour le positionnement d'un véhicule d'exploitation minière (1). La mesure d'une distance parcourue par le véhicule d'exploitation minière (1) est basée sur la surveillance de la rotation d'une roue (3). Selon l'invention, une erreur de mesure de distance provoquée par l'usure de la roue (3) est compensée automatiquement lorsque la valeur de distance dérivée de la surveillance est corrigée au moyen d'un facteur de correction. En cours d'utilisation, la valeur du facteur de correction est mise à jour à des intervalles prédéterminés.
