The invention concerns in particular a method for characterising, quantifying or mapping a nucleic acid or a nucleic acid nitrogenous base immobilised on a support. The inventive method uses a photothermal process or by mirage effect. The invention also concerns a method for making a nucleic acid biochip consisting in particular of a solid support whereon is immobilised at least a nucleic acid, and a device for implementing said inventive method.
