ABSTRACT The invention relates to a method and a device for automatic- ally cleaning the air nozzles in waste liquor combustion furn- aces.A rod-shaped lance is caused to move in the gap-shaped nozzle, so that the free end of the lance is moved from a starting position in the nozzle and outside of the combustion chamber to one short side of the gap and out through the gap, along the gap with the end outside the same all the way to the other short side of the gap and thereafter returns to the start- ing position.
