METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AVOIDING STOPPAGES CAUSED BY HOOP-CASING MEANS IN MACHINES FOR HOOP-CASING PACKING UNITS Abstract The invention relates to a method and a device for avoiding stoppages caused by hoop-casing means in machines for hoop- casing packing units, more particularly: the method is characterized by a further hoop-casing means roll with a further hoop-casing means and in that in each case the leading end of one of the two hoop-casing means is constantly held in the machine in a stand-by position from which, after removal of the other hoop-casing means from the hoop-casing means guide device, it is automatically fed to said guide device, possibly "at the touch of a button", and the device is characterized in that there is disposed, upstream of the transport device, a distributing guide having two hoop-casing means guideways for in each case one leading portion of the two hoop-casing means and having one hoop- casing means feed for alternative introduction of one of the two leading ends of the hoop-casing means into the transport device.
