The invention relates to a method for breaking separation of at least one bearing cap of a corresponding thrust block in the bearing assembly of engine cases provided with bearing bores which are arranged in-line, in particular crankshaft cases for alternative piston engines. The inventive method consists in introducing an extension mandrel comprising two half-mandrels into at least one bearing hole, said half-mandrels being distant from each other in order to produce breaking separation force between the thrust block and the bearing cap. Said invention is characterized in that the bearing cap is clamped in such a way that it is non-rotatable except in a limited manner in the direction of breaking separation between a corresponding half-mandrel and a fixing device.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour séparer par rupture au moins un chapeau de palier (2) du sabot d'appui (4) correspondant dans des ensembles paliers (6) de carters de moteurs pourvus d'alésages (8) disposés en alignement, notamment dans les carters de vilebrequin de moteurs à piston alternatif. Selon ce procédé, un mandrin extensible (10) comportant deux demi-mandrins (12, 14) est introduit dans au moins un alésage (8), les demi-mandrins (12, 14) étant éloignés l'un de l'autre pour développer une force de séparation par rupture entre le sabot d'appui (4) et le chapeau de palier (2). L'invention est caractérisée en ce que le chapeau de palier (2) est enserré de manière à ne pas tourner, sauf de façon limitée dans le sens de la séparation par rupture, entre le demi-mandrin (12) correspondant et un dispositif de butée (22).
