Method and arrangement for burning crush-like plant-based fuel. The arrangement comprises a boiler (1) designed for burning dry fuel (18). When moist fuel (18) is fed to the arrangement, the heat energy obtained from combustion gases of the boiler is led to dry the fuel (18). The heat energy which is not needed for drying the fuel (18) is conducted to heat the combustion air of the boiler (1). Then the burning procedure is easy to implement technically and the boiler can be provided with an advantageous structure. Further, fuel (18) of variable moisture can be fed to the arrangement.
L'invention a trait à un procédé ainsi qu'au dispositif correspondant permettant de brûler un combustible à base de végétaux du type concassé. Le dispositif comporte une chaudière (1) conçue pour brûler un combustible sec (18). Lorsque l'on alimente le dispositif en combustible humide (18), l'énergie thermique issue des gaz de combustion de la chaudière sert à sécher le combustible (18). L'énergie thermique qui n'est pas indispensable pour sécher le combustible (18) sert à chauffer l'air comburant de la chaudière (1). Le processus de combustion est, de la sorte, facile à mettre en oeuvre au plan technique et l'on peut concevoir une structure conférant davantage d'efficacité à la chaudière. Il est, de surcroît, possible d'alimenter le dispositif en combustible (18) à teneur hygrométrique variable.
