A method and a device for calibrating a pressure air supply system for a pneumatic power wrench (10) including a remotely located pressure air control unit (11), and a pressure air supply conduit (14) connecting the power wrench (10) to the pressure air control unit (11), wherein the pressure air control unit (11) controls the operation of the power wrench (10) by changing in a shifting point (t s) the pressure of the air supplied to the power wrench (10) from one level to another so as to accomplish stop of power wrench operation, wherein a time delay (.DELTA.t) is caused by the pressure change propagation time through the pressure air conduit. The air conduit related time delay (.DELTA.t) is calculated in response to the pulse length (t2-t1) of relay controlled successive pressure pulses induced in the pressure air conduit (14), and an advanced pressure change point (t AS) is determined from the calculated time delay (.DELTA.t).

Linvention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant détalonner un système dalimentation en air comprimé pour une boulonneuse pneumatique (10) comprenant une unité de commande dair comprimé à distance (11), et un conduit dalimentation en air comprimé (14) reliant la boulonneuse (10) à lunité de commande dair comprimé (11), ladite unité de commande dair comprimé (11) commandant le fonctionnement de la boulonneuse (10) en changeant, à un point de commutation (ts), la pression de lair envoyé à la boulonneuse (10) dun niveau à un autre afin darrêter le fonctionnement de la boulonneuse, un retard (?t) survenant en raison du temps de propagation de changement de pression dans le conduit dair comprimé. Le retard (?t) lié au conduit dair est calculé en réponse à la longueur dimpulsion (t2-t1) dimpulsions de pression successives commandées par relais induites dans le conduit dair comprimé (14), et un point de changement de pression avancé (tAS) est déterminé à partir du retard (?t) calculé.
