The invention concerns a device for carrying out a reaction in liquid medium during which there is gas evolution. The inventive device comprises at least: a static mixer (3) wherein emerges at least a pipe (1) supplying liquid medium; a cyclone reactor (4) connected to said static mixer (3) and provided with a vent (5) for evacuating the gas or gases formed and means for evacuating (6, 7) the liquid medium. The invention also concerns a method whereby a reaction is carried out in liquid medium during which there is gas evolution. The invention can be used particularly for a reaction involving a peroxide such as hydrogen peroxide and, in particular, for reducing chlorine contained in a liquid effluent.

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre d'une réaction en milieu liquide au cours de laquelle il se produit un dégagement gazeux. Le dispositif selon l'invention comprend au moins: - un mélangeur statique (3) dans lequel débouche au moins une conduite (1) d'alimentation en milieu liquide; - un réacteur cyclonique (4) relié audit mélangeur statique (3) et muni d'une cheminée (5) pour l'évacuation du ou des gaz formé(s) et de moyens d'évacuation (6,7) du milieu liquide. L'invention concerne également un procédé dans lequel on met en oeuvre une réaction en milieu liquide au cours de laquelle il se produit un dégagement gazeux. L'invention peut s'appliquer, notamment, à une réaction mettant en oeuvre un peroxyde tel que le peroxyde d'hydrogène et, en particulier, à la réduction du chlore contenu dans un effluent aqueux.
