The invention relates to a method for coating one or more sides of substrates with catalytically active material, comprising material deposition under a vacuum in a vacuum chamber, wherein the following steps are performed: (a) loading the vacuum chamber with at least one substrate, (b) closing and evacuating the vacuum chamber, (c) cleaning the substrate by introducing a gaseous reducing agent into the vacuum chamber, (d) increasing the size of the substrate surface by means of depositing a vaporous component on the substrate surface, (e) coating by means of a coating process, taken from the group of plasma coating processes, physical gas deposition, sputtering processes or the like, wherein one or more metals and/or alkaline and/or earth alkaline metals or their oxides are applied to the surface of the substrate. This method may be used for example for coating electrodes that are used in chlor-alkali electrolysis.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour le revêtement unilatéral ou multilatéral de substrats avec un matériau catalytiquement actif, comprenant une déposition de matériau sous vide dans une chambre à vide. Les étapes suivantes sont réalisées : (a) Charge de la chambre à vide avec au moins un substrat, (b) Verrouillage et évacuation de la chambre à vide, (c) Nettoyage du substrat par introduction d'un agent réducteur gazeux dans la chambre à vide, (d) Agrandissement de la surface du substrat au moyen de la déposition d'un composant vaporisé sur la surface du substrat, (e) Revêtement au moyen d'un procédé de revêtement, sélectionné entre un procédé de revêtement par plasma, un procédé de dépôt physique en phase gazeuse, un procédé de pulvérisation ou similaire. Un ou plusieurs métaux et/ou métaux alcalins et/ou alcalino-terreux ou leurs oxydes sont appliqués sur la surface du substrat. Ce procédé peut être employé par exemple pour recouvrir des électrodes qui sont utilisées dans l'électrolyse chlore-alcalins.
