The invention concerns a method for continuously coating at least a metal strip with a crosslinkable polymer fluid film free of non-reactive solvent or diluent and whereof the softening temperature is higher than 50 DEG C. The method consists in continuously unwinding the metal strip (1) on at least a back-up roll (3); forming, on a roll (20) by forced flow, a layer of said crosslinkable polymer in melted state; forming, from said layer (30), said crosslinkable polymer film (31); and transferring entirely in thickness said film onto the metal strip (1) and, between the zone forming the layer (30) on the roll (20) and the zone applying the film (31) on the metal strip, in thermally conditioning the crosslinkable polymer to reduce its viscosity. The invention also concerns a coating device for implementing said method.
L'invention a pour objet un procédé de revêtement en continu d'au moins une bande métallique par un film fluide en polymère réticulable exempt de solvant ou de diluant non réactif et dont la température de ramolissement est supérieure à 50 °C. Le procédé consiste à faire défiler en continu la bande métallique (1) sur au moins un cylindre de support (3), à former, sur un cylindre (20) par écoulement forcé, une nappe (30) dudit polymère réticulable à l'état fondu, à former, à partir de ladite nappe (30), ledit film (31) en polymère réticulable et à effectuer un transfert total en épaisseur de ce film sur la bande métallique (1) et , entre la zone de formation de la nappe (30) sur le cylindre (20) et la zone d'application du film (31) sur la bande métallique, à conditionner thermiquement le polymère réticulable pour abaisser sa viscosité. L'invention a également pour objet un dispositif de revêtement pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
