ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The method and the device disclosed allow the control and the setting of the operating mechanisms of a printing machine, by means of a calculating unit receiving all the information sent by the mechanisms. The calculating unit processes, for instance, information related to the web running and compares it with information sent by shiftable and fixed reading heads for transmission to a memorizing unit connected with the memory of a computer coupled with a touch screen for the direct control and setting of the various mechanisms of the machine. A printer and a photographic device are coupled with the touch screen to display its images. The method and the device are used for the automatic control of printing and cutting machines.
