A method and device for converting a first voice message in a first language into a second message in a predetermined second language, wherein: a) a first voice message spoken in a first language is received by means of a receiver; b) the first voice message is voice analysed by automatic voice recognition using a computer to convert it into a first written message in the first language; c) the first written message in the first language is converted by automatic computer translation into a second written message in the second language; d) a second message corresponding to the second written message is output; e) the first written message corresponding to the first voice message is displayed before the automatic computer translation conversion; and/or f) the second written message is displayed after said automatic computer translation conversion. a) On reçoit an moyen d'un récepteur un premier message vocal prononcé dans la première langue; b) on fait, par reconnaissance vocale automatique par ordinateur, une analyse vocale de ce premier message vocal pour le transformer en un premier message écrit dans la première langue; c) on transforme par traduction automatique par ordinateur ce premier message écrit dams la première langue en un second message écrit dans la seconde langue; d) on émet un second message correspondant au second message écrit; e) avant la transformation par traduction automatique par ordinateur, on visualise, le premier message écrit correspondant au premier message vocal, et/ou f) après la transformation par traduction automatique par ordinateur, on visualise, le second message écrit.
