A method and device for coupling a vessel with a structure or another vessel, typically for coupling a powered propelling vessel with a barge, in which at least one coupling half on one of the vessels is brought together with and releasably coupled to a complementary coupling half on the other vessel. The coupling half is made to follow the movements of the complementary coupling half by subjecting the movable coupling half to a limited force directed towards the complementary coupling half, in a way such that the movable coupling half yields to a greater contact force between the coupling halves, whereupon the movable coupling half is still subjected to a limited force that is varied in opposite phase to the intermovement of the vessels, and which is increased until the intermovement of the vessels has been reduced to an acceptable magnitude, or possibly to zero.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif servant à coupler un vaisseau à une structure ou à un autre vaisseau, notamment un vaisseau à propulsion moteur à une barge. Dans ledit dispositif, au moins une moitié de couplage d'un des vaisseaux est rapprochée d'une moitié de couplage complémentaire de l'autre vaisseau, et est couplée à celle-ci. La moitié de couplage est conçue pour suivre les mouvements de la moitié de couplage complémentaire en faisant subir à la moitié de couplage amovible une force limitée en direction de la moitié de couplage complémentaire, de telle manière que la moitié de couplage amovible produit une force de contact plus importante entre les moitiés de couplage. Suite à cela, la moitié de couplage amovible est toujours soumise à une force limitée qui varie pendant la phase opposée de mouvement interactif des vaisseaux et s'accroît jusqu'à ce que le mouvement interactif des vaisseaux ait été réduit à une magnitude acceptable, ou si possible, à zéro.
