A system (10) for microbially deactivating items. The system includes a circulation system (60) for circulating a microbial decontamination fluid through a deactivation chamber that forms a part of the circulation system. A container (200) for holding items to be deactivated is provided. The container has a sealable cavity (16) in which the items to be deactivated may be placed, and at least one valve element (312) that is movable between an open and a closed position to regulate fluid flow into the cavity. An actuator (410) in the deactivation chamber is operable to move the valve element to an open position when the container is disposed within the deactivation chamber, wherein the cavity (16) within the container (200) is in fluid communication with the circulation system (60) when the valve element is in the open position.
L'invention porte sur un système de stérilisation comportant un système de circulation de fluide désinfectant circulant dans une chambre faisant partie dudit système à l'intérieur de laquelle on place un récipient présentant une cavité hermétique contenant les instruments à stériliser, et au moins une soupape s'ouvrant ou se fermant pour réguler le débit du fluide circulant dans la cavité. Quand on place le récipient dans la chambre, un dispositif place la soupape en position d'ouverture pour mettre la cavité en communication avec le système de circulation.
