In order to determine the actual position (A) of a geodetic measuring instrument (1) inside a dead range (T) wherein signals originating from a positioning system are shadowed, two reference structures (5) are detected from at least two known positions and the distances associated with the reference structures (5) are measured. Image information linked to said distance measurements is captured. Said information contains data on the arrangement of the reference structures (5). The actual position (1) can be derived from subsequent capture of the reference structures (5) from a position inside the dead range (T). Image processing methods are used advantageously to identify and measure the reference structures (5).
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer la position courante (A) d'un instrument de mesure géodésique (1) dans une zone morte (T) dans laquelle des signaux provenant d'un système de positionnement sont bloqués. Ce procédé consiste à détecter au moins deux structures de référence (5) dans au moins deux positions connues, à mesurer des distances associées aux structures de référence (5), puis à extraire de ces mesures de distance des informations vidéo associées qui renferment des informations concernant la disposition des structures de référence (5) et enfin à déduire la position courante (A) en détectant ultérieurement les structures de référence (5) à un endroit situé dans la zone morte (T). Il est avantageux d'utiliser des procédés de traitement d'image pour identifier et mesurer les structures de référence (5).
