A method and a device for directly feeding liquid metal into an electric furnace. A carriage carrying a ladle filled with molten metal is moved forward into a starting position adjacent the electric furnace then lowered and horizontally translated until the upper rim of the ladle is located over the electric furnace. The ladle is then tipped and gradually raised and translated to keep the upper ladle rim in a position in which the liquid metal can be poured into the furnace. The ladle is tilted back, lowered and horizontally translated to return it to the starting position.
Procédé et dispositif d'enfournement direct de métal liquide dans un four électrique. Un chariot transportant une poche remplie de métal en fusion est avancé jusqu'à une position initiale à proximité du four électrique, puis abaissé et soumis à une translation horizontale jusqu'à ce que le bord supérieur de la poche se trouve au-dessus du four électrique. La poche subit ensuite un basculement, un soulèvement progressif et translation graduelle de manière à ce que le bord supérieur de la poche soit maintenu en une position permettant de verser le métal liquide dans le four. La poche revient à la position initiale en effectuant un basculement, un abaissement et une translation horizontale.
