According to the invention, the elevators (8) and/or the adjustable horizontal stabiliser (6) are operated in such a way that a negative lift (DP2) is generated and a nose-up moment (CDP) is thus created to counter the nose-down moment (CB) resulting from braking. The value of the negative lift (DP2) matches the vertical force exerted by the ground on the front landing gear (12), which force is subject to a reference value (Fav3).
Selon l'invention, pendant le freinage, on agit sur les gouvernes de profondeur (8) et/ou sur l'empennage horizontal réglable (6) pour engendrer une déportance (DP2) créant un moment cabreur (CDP) contrecarrant le moment piqueur de freinage (CB). La valeur de la déportance (DP2) correspond à l'asservissement de l'effort vertical, appliqué par le sol sur le train avant (12), à une valeur de référence (Fav3).
