The invention concerns a method for fluid catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons. A considerable part of the hydrocarbons is pulverised and contacted with the catalyst in a specific contacting zone, which consists: of a mixing chamber of maximum cross-section S2, fed in its upper part with hot regenerated catalyst, through an orifice defining a cross-section S1 for the passage of the catalyst; and a reaction zone with descending flux, in which the solid/gas mixture coming from the mixing chamber flows through an intermediate orifice of cross-section S3 located in the lower part of said chamber, the ratios S2/S1 and S2/S3 being between 1.5 and 8.
L'invention concerne u procédé de craquage catalytique d'hydrocarbures. Selon l'invention une partie substantielles des hydrocarbures est pulvérisée et mise en contact avec le catalyseur dans une zone de mise en contact spécifique, qui est constituée: d'une chambre de mélange de section maximale S2, alimentée à sa partie supérieure en catalyseur régénéré chaud, par un orifice supérieur définissant une section de passage du catalyseur S1; et d'une zone réactionnelle à flux descendant, dans laquelle le mélange solide gaz issu de la chambre de mélange se déverse par un orifice intermédiaire de section S3 situé à la partie inférieure de ladite chambre, les rapports S2/S1 et S2/S3 étant compris entre 1,5 et 8.
