The present invention relates to a method and device for functional protection of connectors where a heat-emitting means (7, 16, 19) heats the contact pins (1) while certain selected parts preferably are covered with heat-insulating material (12) which furthermore can be contamination- and gas-tight. In this way contamination of the contact pins (1, 13) and condensation of moisture is counteracted which leads to a longer life because of less corrosion and leakage currents being prevented. These problems are specially common in connectors for electronic constructions which are cooled with exterior air and/or are used outdoors.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de protéger le fonctionnement de connecteurs. Un moyen émetteur de chaleur (7, 16, 19) chauffe les broches de contact (1), certaines parties sélectionnées étant, de préférence, couvertes d'un matériau calorifuge (12) pouvant, en plus, être étanche à la contamination et aux gaz. La contamination des broches de contact (1, 13) et la condensation de l'humidité sont ainsi combattues, ce qui augmente la durée de vie des connecteurs par une moindre corrosion et moins de courants de fuite. La corrosion et les courants de fuite sont des problèmes couramment rencontrés avec les connecteurs de constructions électroniques refroidies par de l'air extérieur et/ou utilisés à l'extérieur.
