The invention relates to a method for granulating plastics. According to said method, melt that is discharged from a melt generator is delivered to several pelletizing heads via a starting valve (1) that features several operating positions, the melt being granulated by means of the pelletizing heads. The invention further relates to a device for granulating plastics, comprising a starting valve (1) that is provided with at least one melt generator connection (3, 4), at least two granulator connections (5, 6), and a switching gate (14) for selectively connecting the melt generator connection to at least one of the granulator connections. One respective pelletizing head is connected to the at least two granulator connections while a melt generator having a variable melt volume flow rate is connected to the melt generator connection. The invention is characterized in that several pelletizing heads having different passage capacities are used, whereby the throughput window is increased overall in order to be able to operate in a largely continuous manner without interruptions while inevitable starting processes are shortened or are minimized regarding the produced start-up material by connecting pelletizing heads having low throughput capacities.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour granuler des matières plastiques, une matière en fusion provenant d'un dispositif de production de matière en fusion, passant par un clapet de démarrage (1) qui possède différentes positions de fonctionnement, pour alimenter plusieurs têtes de granulation par lesquelles la matière en fusion est granulée. L'invention a également pour objet un dispositif de granulation pour granuler des matières plastiques, comprenant un clapet de démarrage (1) qui présente au moins un raccord de dispositif de production de matière en fusion (3, 4), au moins deux raccords de granulation (5, 6) et un branchement à plusieurs voies (14) pour relier le raccord de dispositif de production de matière en fusion au choix à au moins l'un des raccords de granulation, une tête de granulation étant respectivement raccordée aux raccords de granulation, et un dispositif de production de matière en fusion à débit volumique de matière en fusion variable, étant raccordé au raccord de dispositif de production de matière en fusion. Selon l'invention, plusieurs têtes de granulation ayant des capacités de passage différentes, sont utilisées, ce qui permet d'augmenter le débit global pour permettre un fonctionnement dans une large mesure continu, sans interruption, et de limiter les opérations de démarrage obligatoires ou de minimiser les déchets produits au démarrage, grâce à la mise en circuit de têtes de granulation ayant de petites capacités de passage.
