ABSTRACT The invention relates to a device and method in a paper machine for guiding a web and in particular in guiding a leader of the web. The device operates in a paper machine in the area between a center roll of the press section and a separate press nip in the press section. The separate press nip is formed between a smooth-faced upper roll and a hollow-faced lower roll. Around this lower roll, a lower felt of the separate press is placed and runs from a suction-transfer roll placed at the proximity of the center roll as a straight run into the separate press nip. At the initial end of the straight run of the felt of the separate press nip, in connection with the guide roll, air- transfer devices are arranged, by whose means a reduced pressure is produced at least across the width of the leader in connection with a closing inlet nip between the felt and the leader and/or in connection with an opening outlet nip defined between the guide roll and the straight run of the felt. 18
La présente invention vise un dispositif et une méthode utilisés pour guider un matelas fibreux dans une machine à papier et, en particulier, pour guider l'amorce de ce matelas. Le dispositif est placé entre un rouleau central de la section des presses et une pince de presse distincte dans cette même section. La pince de presse distincte est formée entre un rouleau supérieur à face lisse et un rouleau inférieur à face creuse. Un feutre inférieur associé à la presse distincte est placé autour du rouleau inférieur et s'insère en bande droite, à partir d'un rouleau de transfert de type à succion placé à proximité du rouleau central, dans la pince de presse distincte. € l'extrémité initiale du feutre en bande droite de la pince de presse distincte, associée au rouleau de guidage, des dispositifs de transfert d'air réduisent la pression sur au moins toute la largeur de l'amorce raccordée à une pince d'alimentation fermante située entre le feutre et l'amorce et/ou raccordée à une pince de sortie ouvrante située entre le rouleau de guidage et le feutre en bande droite. 18
