A method to orient a tubular knitted article, such as a sock or the like, with respect to a pocket of fabric, for example the heel or toe pocket of said article. The method comprises the phases of: stretching an article on a tubular member (1) so that an intermediate part of the band (F) surrounding an end to be sewn of said article (M) is positioned along a line intersecting in two points the end edge of the tubular member and the remaining part is disposed along the outer side surface of the tubular member; detecting the angular position of said band on the tubular member; identifying the position of a pocket of fabric of the article on the basis of the angular position of said band with respect to the tubular member.
L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet d'orienter un article tricoté tubulaire, par exemple une chaussette ou analogue, par rapport à une poche de tissu, par exemple la poche formée par le talon ou le bout dudit article. Le procédé de l'invention comprend les étapes suivantes: on étire un article sur un élément tubulaire (1) de manière qu'une partie intermédiaire d'une bande (F) entourant une extrémité à coudre dudit article (M) est placée le long d'une ligne croisant en deux points le bord d'extrémité de l'élément tubulaire et que le reste est placé le long de la surface latérale extérieure de l'élément tubulaire; on détecte la position angulaire de ladite bande sur l'élément tubulaire; et on identifie la position d'une poche de tissu de l'article sur la base de la position angulaire de ladite bande par rapport à l'élément tubulaire.
