The invention concerns a method and a device for monitoring and identifying a medical instrument, capable of being incorporated in the instrument itself, and provided with the sufficient storage capacity to store all the data relative to the use of the instrument. The device for monitoring and identifying the medical instrument (10) comprises an electronic component (14) integrated in the grip (11) of said instrument. Said electronic component is an electronic label consisting of an integrated circuit comprising a storage unit containing variable data based on the use to which the instrument (10) is put and means for writing and/or modifying and reading said data. Said label communicates by radio frequency with the software of a motor driving the instrument via read/write interface module to allow said software to monitor said motor based on the cyclic fatigue value of the odontological instrument.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de contrôle et d'identification d'un instrument médical, pouvant être intégré à l'instrument lui--même, et pourvu d'une capacité de mémorisation suffisante pour emmagasiner toutes les données liées à l'utilisation de l'instrument. Le dispositif de contrôle et d'identification de l'instrument médical (10), comporte un élément électronique (14) intégré dans le manche de préhension (11) de cet instrument. Cet élément électronique est une étiquette électronique composée d'un circuit intégré comportant une unité de mémoire contenant des données variables en fonction de l'utilisation qui est faite de l'instrument (10) et des moyens pour inscrire et/ou modifier et lire ces données. Cette étiquette communique par radiofréquence avec le logiciel d'un moteur d'entraînement de l'instrument par l'intermédiaire d'un module interface de lecture/écriture pour permettre à ce logiciel de piloter ce moteur en fonction du capital fatigue cyclique de l'instrument odontologique.
