A device for inserting insulation sleeves into axial grooves arranged on the periphery of rotationally symmetrical elements of electrical equipment comprises an injection channel for feeding a strip-shaped insulation material, a cutting unit for cutting the strip-shaped insulation material to the desired length, a revolver that can be rotated about its axial direction, on the periphery of which are arranged a number of axial grooves corresponding to the number of axial grooves of the rotationally symmetrical element to be loaded with insulation sleeves and an ejector associated with each axial groove for simultaneously pushing the insulation sleeves out of the axial grooves of the revolver into the axial grooves of the rotationally symmetrical element. By the use of a revolver, the cycle time for loading a rotationally symmetrical element with insulation sleeves can be considerably reduced.
