The invention pertains to a method of installing cables (2) in cable ducts (6) using installation devices (1; 1a, 1b, 1c) propelling the cables (2) into the ducts (6). In accordance with the invention, the installation devices (1; 1a, 1b, 1c) are powered by means of pressurized fluid, such as air, transported through the ducts (6). This results in a smaller number of compressors (4) and operators being necessary. For transporting the pressurized fluid, the duct (6) in which a cable (2) is installed and/or parallel ducts may be used. In a duct section (e.g. 6a), the feed direction of the cable (.fwdarw.) may coincide with, or be opposed to, the transport direction of the fluid (.fwdarw.). The invention further provides installation devices (1) for use in the method.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'installation de câbles (2) dans des conduits (6) à l'aide de dispositifs d'installation (1; 1a, 1b, 1c) poussant les câbles (2) dans les conduits (6). Selon cette invention, les dispositifs d'installation (1; 1a, 1b, 1c) sont activés par un fluide sous pression tel que l'air, acheminé dans les conduits (6).
