A method of installing an open seal (13) on a flange (31) provided at a door installation opening (11) of a vehicle, the installation being made by pressing the seal (13) against the flange (13) by a roller (42). A side face (13e) of the open seal temporarily installed on the flange is pressed by a flange (46) formed at one end of the roller. Then, a back face (13d) of the open seal is pressed by the roller towards the flange (31). The roller is moved along the flange (31) with constant pressing force.

Procédé d'installation d'un joint ouvert (13) sur un rebord (31) disposé au niveau d'une ouverture (11) d'installation de porte d'un véhicule, l'installation se faisant en pressant le joint (13) contre le rebord (31) au moyen d'un rouleau (42). Une face latérale (13e) du joint ouvert installé temporairement sur le rebord (31) est pressée par un rebord (46) formé à une extrémité du rouleau. Puis une face arrière (13d) du joint ouvert est pressée par le rouleau vers le rebord (31). On déplace le rouleau le long du rebord (31) en appliquant une force de pression constante.
