The invention relates to a method and a device for joining a planar component (2) to a hollow section (1). According to said method, the component (2) and the hollow section (1) are positioned in relation to one another in a hydroforming die and are subsequently joined with the aid of a fluidic internal high pressure in the hollow section (1). The aim of the invention is to join a planar component (2) and a hollow section (1) in a simple and reliable manner. To achieve this, under the prevailing internal high pressure, the adjacent walls (3,5) of the hollow section (1) and component (2) that are to be joined are impinged by a punch (6) that is integrated into the hydroforming die, in such a way that the wall (3) of the hollow section (1) is perforated. The result of said perforation is that the punched waste (7) remains attached at one point on the border (8) of the hole, increasing in width towards its free end (9), and that a section of the wall (5) of the component (2) is bent in the form of a tongue (10), which has the same shape as the punched waste (7), into the hollow section (1), to engage behind the border (8) of the hole in said hollow section (1).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour assembler un élément plat (2) à un profilé creux (1), ledit élément (2) et le profilé creux (1) étant placés dans un outil de formage par haute pression interne dans une position déterminée l'un par rapport à l'autre, puis assemblés au moyen d'une haute pression interne fluidique appliquée dans le profilé creux (1). L'objectif de l'invention est d'établir une liaison entre l'élément plat (2) et le profilé creux (1) de manière simple et par un processus fiable. A cet effet, un poinçon (6) intégré dans l'outil de formage agit, pendant l'application de la haute pression interne, sur les parois (3, 5) du profilé creux (1) et de l'élément (2), placées l'une contre l'autre et devant être assemblées, de façon à perforer la paroi (3) du profilé creux (1) de telle sorte que la partie découpée (7) reste accrochée par liaison de matière à un point du bord (8) du trou formé et augmente en largeur en direction de son extrémité libre (9), et de sorte qu'une section de la paroi (5) de l'élément (2) soit courbée en forme de languette (10), de même forme que la partie découpée (7), dans le profilé creux (1) de façon à venir en prise à l'arrière du bord (8) du trou formé dans le profilé creux (1).
