La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé d'asservissement de l'instant de régénération dans une transmission numérique utilisant une modulation de porteuse selon deux axes en quadrature, dans lequel on recherche l'instant de régénération optimal de l'une des voies (voie X) par ajustement manuel, caractérisé en ce qu'on compare les deux mêmes échantillons de la réponse impulsionnelle phase sur les deux voies et, on réagit sur le décalage de l'instant de régénération de la seconde voie (voie Y) pour que les deux échantillons de la réponse impulsionnelle soient égaux. Application notamment aux faisceaux hertziens numériques.
