The present invention concerns the down hole motors used in the oil prospecting industry to drive drill bits for drilling the ground at great depths. The down hole motor (1) comprises a drive shaft (5) held in the motor body (3) by an axial thrust bearing (6) and by a radial bearing (7). The radial bearing (7) is a tubular member whose interior surface is coated with an anti-abrasion layer (11) formed by laser-assisted facing directly inside an alloy steel radial bearing body (10). The thickness of the facing layer is then reduced by removing material by means of a cutting tool. This produces a radial bearing (7) that is relatively insensitive to drilling mud and confers great reliability on the down hole motor (1).
La présente invention concerne les moteurs de fond de trou utilisés dans l'industrie de la prospection pétrolière pour entraîner des trépans de forage afin de forer le sol à de grandes profondeurs. Le moteur de fond du trou (1) comporte un arbre d'entraînement (5) maintenu dans le corps de moteur (3) par un palier de butée axiale (6) et par un palier radial (7). Le palier radial (7) est un élément tubulaire dont la surface intérieure est revêtue d'une couche anti-abrasion (11) formée par dressage assisté au laser, directement à l'intérieur d'un corps de palier radial en alliage d'acier (10). L'épaisseur de la couche de dressage est ensuite réduite par enlèvement de matière à l'aide d'un outil de coupe. Ceci produit un palier radial (7) qui est relativement insensible à la boue de forage et qui confère une grande fiabilité au moteur de fond du trou (1).
