Method of producing metal sheets or strips by rolling a metal sheet or strip through cold rolling mills, characterized in that at least two work rolls (2) are textured according to a surface pattern consisting in a regular deterministic bidimensional pattern in the form of unit cells of spots, said spot being obtained through an electron beam irradiation (12) and in that the wavelengths in the longitudinal direction [.lambda.L] of the rolls and in the transverse direction [.lambda.L] of the rolls are less than 1.5 mm.
Procédé de production de feuilles ou bandes de métal par laminage d'une feuille ou bande de métal dans des cylindres de laminage à froid, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins deux laminoirs (2) présentent sur leur surface un dessin consistant en un motif bidimensionnel régulier déterministe sous la forme de cellules unitaires de points, chaque point étant obtenu à l'aide d'un rayonnement (12) à faisceaux d'électrons, et en ce que les longueurs d'onde dans les directions longitudinale [.lambda.¿L?] et transversale [.lambda.¿L?] des cylindres de laminage sont inférieures à 1,5 mm.
