The invention concerns a method for measuring emissions of gaseous substances to the atmosphere using scattered sunlight spectroscopy and an optical measuring device (20), said device (20) comprising a telescopic member (30) defining a field-of-view (FOV) (24) of the device (20), and a scanning arrangement (42) allowing a controlled variation of the direction of the field-of-view (FOV) (24) in such a way that the field-of-view (FOV) (24) is capable of scanning a certain layer (12, 22) of the atmosphere during operation of the device. The invention is characterized in that the method comprises the step of scanning a scanning layer (22) that has the form of, at least a part of, a cone having its apex positioned at the device (20) and having a cone angle .beta.. The invention also concerns an optical measuring device (20) adapted to form a such a cone-shaped scanning layer (22)
L'invention concerne un procédé de mesure des émissions de substances gazeuses dans l'atmosphère par spectroscopie de diffusion de la lumière du soleil et utilisation d'un dispositif de mesure optique (20), ledit dispositif (20) comprenant un élément télescopique (30) définissant un champ angulaire (FOV) (24) du dispositif (20), et un système de balayage (42) permettant de faire varier, de façon contrôlée, la direction du champ angulaire (FOV) (24) d'une manière telle que ce champ puisse balayer une certaine couche (12, 22) de l'atmosphère lorsque le dispositif est en fonctionnement. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que le procédé comprend une étape consistant à balayer une couche de balayage (22) ayant la forme d'un cône (ou au moins d'une partie de cône) dont le sommet est situé au niveau du dispositif (20) et dont l'angle de cône est appelé .beta.. L'invention concerne également un dispositif de mesure optique (20) conçu pour former une telle couche de balayage (22) en forme de cône.
