The invention relates to a method and device for measuring the properties of earth materials subjected to a load, the device comprising a cylinder (10) for a material sample enclosed by a cover and bottom plate (6a, 7a), means for compressing the sample, means for making the central axes of the cover and bottom plate deviate parallel to each other by an angle in relation to the central axis of the cylinder and in the same plane with the central axis of the cylinder, and means for making the central axes of the cover and bottom plate revolve about the central axis of the cylinder (10) with said angular deviation so as to deform the sample. In order to make the measuring more effective the material is measured by means of a device which is provided with means (13 to 16) for measuring the force resisting the deformation of the sample in the direction of the radius of the sample, and for measuring the force resisting the deformation of the sample in the direction of rotation of the angular deviation.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de mesure des propriétés de matières contenues dans le sol et soumises à une charge. Ledit dispositif comporte un cylindre (10) destiné à recevoir un échantillon de matière et fermé par un couvercle et une plaque de fond (6a, 7a), des moyens de compression de l'échantillon, des moyens permettant de dévier les axes centraux du couvercle et de la plaque de fond parallèlement l'un à autre selon un certain angle par rapport à l'axe central du cylindre et dans le même plan que cet axe, et des moyens permettant de faire tourner les axes centraux du couvercle et de la plaque de fond autour de l'axe central du cylindre (10) avec ladite déviation angulaire de manière à déformer l'échantillon. Afin de rendre la mesure plus efficace, ladite matière est mesurée au moyen d'un dispositif doté de moyens (13 à 16) de mesure de la force de résistance à la déformation dudit échantillon dans le rayon de ce dernier, et de mesure de la force de résistance à la déformation de l'échantillon dans le sens de rotation de la déviation angulaire.
