According to the invention, a control system for setting the working point of the optical transmission system for the measuring signals is provided in a measuring system having an optical transmission of energy for a sensor (22) and an analog optical transmission of the measuring signals of the sensor (22). For this purpose, for a zero measuring signal, a corresponding analysis signal (S) of the signal converter (5), transmitted optically to said optoelectric signal converter (5), is adjusted to a predefined analysis signal setpoint (REFS'). The manipulated variable of the control system is the working-point current (Ios) of an electrooptical signal converter (6) which converts the electrical measuring signals into optical signals. The control system can be used to compensate for interference in the analog transmission. Preferably, an additional control system is provided to correct the gain factor (F) of an amplifier unit (9), which amplifies the analysis signals (S') into output signals (S).
