A shoe press unit comprises a support beam, a shoe element movably supported on the beam, a pressing unit arranged between the beam and the shoe element for urging the shoe element away from the beam and toward a counter element, and a flexible belt that is arranged to slide over the pressing surface of the shoe element. An oil evacuation arrangement formed separately from the shoe element is affixed to the shoe element proximate an upstream edge region thereof. The oil evacuation arrangement has an inlet opening located such that a major portion of the excess oil expelled from between the belt and the shoe element passes through the inlet opening with a kinetic energy that is substantially undiminished from the initial kinetic energy of the oil as it exits from between the belt and the pressing surface of the shoe element.

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant d'évacuer de l'huile d'une unité de presse à sabot. L'unité de presse à sabot comprend un sommier (1); un élément de sabot (2) agencé mobile sur ledit sommier (1) à l'aide d'une unité de presse (3, 5) possédant une surface de presse (21); un agencement d'évacuation (4) d'huile doté d'une ouverture d'entrée (41), ledit agencement étant mobile et fermement ancré sur l'élément de sabot (2) de sorte que lesdits agencement d'évacuation et élément de sabot se déplacent ensemble; et une courroie souple (6) qui interagit avec l'élément de sabot (2). Pendant le fonctionnement, l'huile fournie sert à appliquer un lubrifiant entre la surface de presse (21) et la courroie (6), l'énergie cinétique provenant de l'huile évacuée par pression étant utilisée pour évacuer l'huile en excès au niveau d'une région (21A) de bord amont de ladite surface de presse (21), et l'huile en excès étant évacuée de l'unité de presse à sabot à l'aide de l'agencement d'évacuation (4) d'huile. L'ouverture d'entrée (41) est agencée dans l'élément de sabot (2) de sorte qu'une grande partie de l'huile en excès gicle directement dans l'ouverture d'entrée (41), tout en conservant essentiellement son énergie cinétique.
