The invention relates to a method for operating a sliding bearing for receiving a machine part for an immersible fluid flow machine, said method comprising the following steps: A limited lubricant volume is forced between the sliding surfaces of the sliding bearing in the form of a lubricant jet before the machine part to be received starts running and while still being stationary, the lubricant volume forced between the sliding surfaces being measured out in such a manner and the lubricant jet having such a temporal pressure profile that the sliding surfaces are briefly lifted off each other and slip back to a low mixed friction state when the lubricant flows from the sliding bearing, the coefficient of friction f of said state being less than or equal to the coefficient of coasting friction directly after the immobilization of the machine part.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un palier lisse destiné à supporter une pièce d'une machine à écoulement immergée. Selon le procédé, un volume limité de lubrifiant est injecté par à-coup entre les surfaces de glissement du palier lisse avant la mise en marche de la pièce à supporter lorsque cette dernière est encore à l'arrêt, le volume de lubrifiant injecté étant dosé et la dose injectée présentant une courbe de pression variant dans le temps, de telle sorte que les surfaces de glissement s'écartent temporairement l'une de l'autre et retournent en situation de frottement mixte faible lorsque le lubrifiant s'écoule du palier lisse, palier dont le coefficient de frottement f est inférieur ou égal au coefficient de frottement déterminé immédiatement après l'arrêt de la pièce de la machine.
