The invention concerns a method and a device for inputting data, as well as a system for the optical detection of the position of an object or member, capable of being used (respectively incorporated) in said method (respectively device). The technical field of the invention is the manufacture of keyboards and like devices for manual input of data to be processed by a digital computer. The inventive method for determining the position of an object in a zone (30), comprises the following steps: structuring a neural network through learning; applying to the structured neural network input (16) data resulting from conversion of signals delivered by a plurality of detectors (1, P1, , P6) sensitive to illumination of said zone; and determining the position of the object in said zone on the basis of at least one data delivered in output of the structured neural network.
La présente invention est relative à un procédé et à un dispositif permettant la saisie de données, ainsi qu'à un système de détection optique de la position d'un objet ou organe, susceptibles d'être utilisé (respectivement incorporé) dans un tel procédé (respectivement dispositif). Le domaine technique de l'invention est celui de la fabrication des claviers et des dispositifs similaires permettant une entrée manuelle de données à traiter par un calculateur numérique. Le procédé selon l'invention pour déterminer la position d'un objet dans une zone (30), comporte les étapes suivantes: - structurer un réseau de neurones par apprentissage, - appliquer à l'entrée du réseau (16) de neurones structuré des données résultant d'une conversion de signaux délivrés par une pluralité de détecteurs (1, P1, , P6) sensibles à l'éclairement de ladite zone, et déterminer la position de l'objet dans la zone en fonction d'au moins une donnée délivrée en sortie par le réseau de neurones structuré.
