A method for drilling or cutting a pin (31) surrounded by solid material (32) includes the use of a water jet tool (10) having a nozzle (11) that is arranged at an angle with respect to a main body (12) of the water jet tool (10). The water jet is directed over a portion of the surface of thepin (31), and removes that portion thereby fragmenting the pin (31). In order to minimise damage to the surrounding material, the portions removed touches the interface between the pin and the surrounding solid material at a minimal number of points and over a minimal extent of the interface. The method is applicable in particular to the removal of pins (31) used in a press-fit for the securing of blades (3) on a turbine rotor (1). The method facilitates "in situ" removal of pins within a confined space ina short time and at reduced cost.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour fraiser ou couper une tige (31) entourée d'un matériau solide (32), lequel procédé comprend l'utilisation d'un outil à jet d'eau (10) doté d'une buse (11) qui est disposée à un angle par rapport au corps principal (12) de l'outil à jet d'eau (10). Le jet d'eau est dirigé sur une partie de la surface de la tige (31), et retire cette partie, fragmentant ainsi la tige (31). Afin de rendre minimal l'endommagement du matériau environnant, les parties retirées touchent l'interface entre la tige et le matériau solide environnant à un nombre minimal de points et sur une étendue minimale de l'interface. Le procédé est en particulier applicable au retrait de tiges (31) utilisées dans un ajustement serré pour la fixation d'aubes (3) sur un rotor de turbine (1). Le procédé facilite le retrait "in situ" de tiges à l'intérieur d'un espace confiné en peu de temps et à un coût réduit.
