Method of forming the junction between the beginning and end of an extruded glazing profiled section (1) for motor vehicle applications. The profiled section (1) is made of a soft material such as an extruded thermoplastic elastomer and includes a bead (2) with a groove comprising an undercut. The given area is shaped using a ribbed roller (18) which turns without sliding perpendicular to the junction.
