The invention relates to a method for produce a plasma conductor in air with the aid of a femtosecond high-frequency pulsing and high-repetition rate laser. Said plasma is used for transmitting a current between an electric or catenary wire supplying a vehicle such as a train and an electric contact, for example a pantograph arm disposed on a moving vehicle and connected to a power distribution system thereof. The plasma is in contact with the electric or catenary wire and with an electric contact.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour créer un plasma conducteur dans l'air à l'aide d'un laser femtoseconde qui est puisé à haute puissance et à haute cadence de répétition. Ce plasma est chargé de conduire le courant entre une ligne électrique ou caténaire destinée à alimenter un véhicule, tel qu'un train, et un contact électrique, un pantographe par exemple, situé dans le véhicule en déplacement et relié au système de distribution de l'énergie électrique du véhicule. Le plasma est en contact d'une part avec la ligne électrique ou caténaire et d'autre part avec le contact électrique.
