PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Un procédé pour élaborer un lingot d'un matériau semi-conducteur polycristally comporte une étape de chauffage d'un creuset calorifugé contenant un bain du matériau fondu à une température supérieure à la température de fusion de matériau, et une étape de solidification du matériau déclenchée en enlevant une partie inférieure du revêtement calorifugé, la puissance de chauffage étant maintenue constante. Ce procédé s'applique notamment à la réalisation de photopiles solaires au silicium.
