The present invention concerns a method and device for producing compressed nitrogen by air classification at a low temperature in a rectifying apparatus presenting a pressure column (4) and a low pressure column (5). The air used (1, 3) is introduced in the pressure column (4). A liquid fraction containing oxygen is taken from the pressure column (4) and introduced in the low pressure column (5). The gas nitrogen (18) from the low pressure column (5) is condensed, at least partially, in a head capacitor through indirect heat transfer using an evaporating liquid (13). In order for the nitrogen from the pressure column to be obtained in the form of a compressed gas (24, 24, 29), a pressure is used which is higher than that needed for the operation of the low pressure column (5). The nitrogen (20) bleed from the low pressure column is exposed in that liquid state to a pressure higher than that of the low pressure column (5). The liquid (22) put under pressure is evaporated in an evaporator (23) through direct heat transfer involving a heat carrier (35), which produces a gaseous compressed nitrogen (24, 25, 29).

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de production d'azote comprimé par turboséparation à basse température dans un système de rectification présentant un colonne de pression (4) et une colonne basse pression (5). L'air d'utilisation (1, 3) est introduit dans la colonne de pression (4). Une fraction (11) liquide à teneur en oxygène est prélevée de la colonne de pression (4) et introduite dans la colonne basse pression (5). L'azote gazeux (18) provenant de la colonne basse pression (5) est condensé, du moins partiellement, dans un condensateur de tête (17) par échange indirect de chaleur à l'aide d'un liquide d'évaporation (13). Pour obtenir l'azote de la colonne de pression sous forme comprimée en phase gazeuse (24, 25, 29), on utilise une pression supérieure à celle requise pour le fonctionnement de la colonne basse pression (5). L'azote (20) liquide prélevé de la colonne basse pression est exposé en l'état à une pression supérieure à celle de la colonne basse pression (5). Le liquide (22) mis sous pression est mis à évaporer dans un évaporateur (23) par échange indirect de chaleur avec un support thermique (35), ce qui donne un produit d'azote comprimé (24, 25, 29) en phase gazeuse.
