Disclosed is a method for producing a magnetic stimulation effect and/or a fake magnetic stimulation effect in a biological tissue. According to the method, the real magnetic stimulation is effected by virtue of inducing an electromagnetic field in said biological tissue with a sufficiently strong field strength to essentially excite said tissue, and the fake magnetic stimulation is effected by virtue of inducing an electromagnetic field in said biological tissue with a field strength that is weaker than the electromagnetic field required for an essential excitation of said tissue. According to the invention, said electromagnetic field weaker than the electromagnetic field strength required for an essential excitation of the tissue is produced by the steps of inducing at least one first electromagnetic field in said biological tissue, and simultaneously, inducing at least one second electromagnetic field superimposed with said first electromagnetic field but so deviated by its direction from the direction of said first electromagnetic that the sum effect of said electromagnetic fields in the target area of said biological tissue remains weaker than the electromagnetic field required for an essential excitation of said tissue. Also an apparatus is described suited for implementing the method.

On décrit un procédé de production d'un effet de stimulation magnétique et/ou d'un effet de stimulation magnétique simulé dans un tissu biologique. Selon le procédé, la stimulation magnétique réelle est effectuée au moyen de l'induction d'un champ électromagnétique dans ledit tissu biologique avec une force de champ suffisamment forte pour exciter véritablement ledit tissu, et la stimulation magnétique simulée est effectuée au moyen de l'induction d'un champ électromagnétique dans ledit tissu avec une force de champ qui est plus faible que le champ magnétique nécessaire pour provoquer l'excitation véritable dudit tissu. Selon l'invention, le champ électromagnétique dont la force est plus faible que le champ électromagnétique nécessaire pour exciter véritablement le tissu est produit au moyen de l'induction d'au moins un premier champ électromagnétique dans ledit tissu biologique et de l'induction simultanée d'au moins un deuxième champ électromagnétique dans ledit tissu biologique qui se superpose sur le premier champ électromagnétique mais qui est dévié de telle manière par sa direction par rapport à la direction du premier champ électromagnétique que l'effet global des deux champs électromagnétiques dans la zone cible dudit tissu biologique reste plus faible que le champ électromagnétique nécessaire pour exciter véritablement ledit tissu. Un appareil permettant de mettre en oeuvre le procédé est également présenté.
