The invention relates to printed products which are folded once, twice or three times, are ejected by a rotary printing machine, or produced by a rotation, are stored temporarily, and then ejected by storage units. Said printed products are folded essentially in the centre and stitched optionally along the additional fold (F). They are then cut in such a way that the first folded edges (F.1) produced in the rotation, and optionally second and third folded edges (F.2 and F.3), are eliminated. In this way, multiple page stitched printed products are created, said printed products consisting of a plurality of sheets folded inside each other, and having a format that can be derived from the basic format of the rotation.

Selon l'invention, des produits imprimés à un, deux ou trois plis qui sortent d'une presse rotative ou qui sont produits par une rotative, puis stockés temporairement et sortis ensuite à partir d'unités de stockage, subissent une opération supplémentaire de pliage sensiblement central et éventuellement une opération de brochage le long de la charnière (F) supplémentaire. Les produits imprimés sont ensuite découpés de telle sorte que les premières arêtes de pliage (F.1) et éventuellement les deuxièmes et troisièmes arêtes de pliage (F.2 et F.3) produites dans la rotative soient éliminées.
