The invention concerns an optical method for programmable shaping of a time profile for quasi-monochromatic optical pulses comprising the following steps: distributing each of the spectral components of a pulse with wide time spectrum and obtaining an extended pulse with frequency drift while preserving the spectral width; shaping the pulse spectrally and consequently temporally; converting the wide spectrum into a narrow spectrum while preserving the temporal shaping.

La présente invention concerne un procédé optique de mise en forme programmable du profil temporel d'impulsions optiques quasi-monochromatiques comprenant les étapes suivantes: on répartit chacune des composantes spectrales d'une impulsion à spectre large dans le temps et on obtient une impulsion allongée à dérive de fréquence en conservant la largeur spectrale; on met en forme l'impulsion spectralement et par conséquent temporellement; on convertit le spectre large en spectre étroit en conservant la mise en forme temporelle.
