The invention concerns a method of purifying contaminated liquids, adsorbents which adsorb the contaminants being added to the liquid. A plurality of adsorbent particles are agglomerated with the contaminants adsorbed therein/thereon to form larger adsorbent particles. The larger adsorbent particles are then suspended again in the liquid. The liquid with the larger adsorbent particles is then filtered. A corresponding device comprises at least one agglomerator (10) with an inlet (11), an outlet (13, 14) for each of the separated constituents (clear flow and concentrated suspension) and a device for producing the agglomeration. The latter is preferably a device for generating an electric field. Further provided is a pressure filter (30) with an inlet for the concentrated suspension and an outlet (33, 34) for each of the separated constituents.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'épuration de liquides renfermant des impuretés, consistant à ajouter auxdits liquides des agents adsorbants adsorbant les impuretés. Plusieurs particules d'adsorbants sont agglomérées avec les impuretés adsorbées à l'intérieur ou en surface, de manière à former de plus grosses particules d'adsorbants. Ces dernières sont remises en suspension dans le liquide, après quoi le liquide renfermant de plus grosses particules est filtré. Le dispositif correspondant comprend au moins un agglomérateur (10) présentant une entrée (11) et une sortie (13, 14) pour chacun des constituants séparés (écoulement limpide, suspension concentrée), ainsi qu'un dispositif pour produire l'agglomération, ce dernier étant de préférence un dispositif pour la production d'un champs électrique. Il est en outre prévu un filtre à pression (30) comportant une entrée pour la suspension concentrée et une sortie (33, 34) pour chacun des constituants séparés.
