Electronic scrap goods, for example, electronic components, cables etc., are successively and alternately mechanically crushed, magnetically separated and mechanically- physically separated, for example, by means of electrostatic separators. The dust produced during crushing is pneumatically collected and filtered out. The non-metal fraction as well as the magnetic and non-magnetic fraction are produced separately as granules and dust. The metal fractions are suitable for subsequent pyrolysis-free, wet chemical and/or electrolytic separation. The non-metallic fraction is disposable. The method is distinguished by low energy consumption and high environmental compatibility.
