The invention concerns a method and a device for restoring a light signal from digital data defining, in a specific colorimetric system, a colorimetric co-ordinate of the light signal in the colorimetric system, which comprises the following steps consisting in: a) generating a first light signal, using a first light restoring unit (V1) covering a first brightness dynamics (0-Lmax¿1?); b) generating at least a second light signal, using a second light restoring unit (V2) covering a second brightness dynamics (0-Lmax¿2?) less than said first brightness dynamics (0-Lmax¿1?), the second light restoring unit having a brightness resolution finer than the first light restoring unit; c) generating a third light signal obtained by superimposing said first and second light signals.
L'invention propose un procédé et un dispositif de restitution d'un signal lumineux à partir de données numériques définissant, dans un système colorimétrique déterminé, une coordonnée colorimétrique du signal lumineux dans le système colorimétrique, qui comprend les étapes consistant à: a) générer un premier signal lumineux, au moyen d'une première unité de restitution lumineuse (V1) couvrant une première dynamique en luminance (0- Lmax1); b) générer au moins un deuxième signal lumineux, au moyen d'une deuxième unité de restitution lumineuse (V2) couvrant une deuxime dynamique en luminance (0-Lmax2) inférieure à ladite première dynamique en luminance (0- Lmax1), la deuxième unité de restitution lumineuse ayant une résolution en luminance plus fine que la première unité de restitution lumineuse; c) générer un troisième signal lumineux obtenu en superposant lesdits premier et deuxième signaux lumineux.
