METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SECURING AN OBJECT AGAINST AN INNER SURFACE OF A HOLLOW CYLINDER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An object, such as a balancing weight or a turbulence-producing strip, is pressed against an inner surface of a hollow cylinder preferably utilizing radially oriented springs. Positioning pins are partially disposed in the object. Each pin has a point which is driven into the hollow cylinder to position the object securely against the inner surface of the cylinder to prevent displacement of the object with respect thereto. The positioning pins are made from a material which is harder than that of the hollow cylinder.
